Join us for a fun-filled day at the Mendon Brothers of the Brush Ice Fishing Derby! Whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking for a winter adventure, this derby is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors and support a great cause with the family.

- All fish must be weighed live. Dead fish will not be accepted.
- Bring an extra bucket to transport your fish to the weigh-in station.
- Prizes will be awarded based on weight. In case of a tie, length (tip of the mouth to the tip of the tail) will be the tiebreaker.
- Prizes based on the number of registrations
Additional Information:
- Raffle: There will be a 50/50 Raffle drawn at the end of the event
- State Regulations: All state fishing regulations must be followed.
- Respect the Environment: Please be respectful of the pond. There will be zero tolerance for littering. Carry in and carry out all trash.
- Important Note: If there is no ice, the event will be held on the backup date, February 7th, 2026.

Safety Information:
Ice fishing involves certain inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to the risks of cold weather, ice instability, immersion in water, and accidents. Participation in the Mendon Brothers of the Brush Fishing Derby is at the sole risk of each individual participant.
- Check Ice Thickness: Ensure the ice is at least 4 inches thick for walking, 5-7 inches for snowmobiles/ATVs, and 8-12 inches for small cars.
- Bring Safety Equipment: Carry ice spikes, a throw rope, and a whistle.
- Dress Warmly: Wear layers, including a waterproof outer layer, and bring extra clothing.
- Go With a Buddy: Never venture onto the ice alone. Always have a partner.
- Stay Informed: Check weather conditions and ice reports regularly.
- Avoid Unsafe Areas: Stay away from cracks, slushy areas, and places where the ice appears thin.
- Know the Exit Points: Familiarize yourself with safe exit points in case of an emergency.
