the Brothers

Beginnings…

The Mendon Brothers of the Brush have a colorful and storied history that dates back to the late 1960s.

Originally founded to celebrate Mendon’s 300th anniversary, these spirited pioneers played a pivotal role in organizing celebratory events, stirring community interest, and bolstering support for the historic occasion.

Their founding was marked by camaraderie and a shared desire to honor their town’s rich heritage, which they did with gusto and a flair for the dramatic.

The Brothers evolved from their initial role in the tercentenary festivities to become a social group with a strong community focus.

We continue to engage in activities that promoted public spirit and cooperation. We wish to be a fixture in the Mendon community with a legacy of laughter, unity, and a deep-seated commitment to the town which we hold dear.
